Sheds
Up to 15m² and 3m high. These are the measurements of what in Sweden is called a “Friggebod”. It is the little extra house you can put in the garden without a building permit. It’s not that easy to express the form and function of the barn in these small sheds. A barn is always over 3 meters high, which doesn’t leave much for the character of a barn over for our sheds.
All the sheds in the basic form are insulated and prepared for use throughout the year. That means that walls and ceiling have studs for 100 mm insulation. The windows and doors meet standards for heating the year around.
But a shed is a shed. All the models can also be delivered stripped without insulation for those who have their own ideas or want to do the work by themselves. Then you only buy a weatherproof, non-insulated, empty shell. Just as for our other houses and cabins, you can get them in Falurödfärg colours with galvanized tinplate for roof, windows, and doors.
The model Bodsjö has got its form from the Hermit’s Cabin. It’s available in a big and small variant that may well be fitted to a long low house. Byom gets its form from the bigger barn houses and is with its limited hight a well planned hunting cabin. Lit is a bit different from the other sheds. It’s a remarkable creation, a little “caravan” that contains just about everything within 15m²!
