Slåtteråsen 61

This is a modern incarnation of a classical elongated barn. Slåtteråsen can be opened up in the middle for a passage, or for walling in the space and use it as living space. Over kitchen, entrance and bedroom there is a big loft that you can reach with either a wall ladder or a more comfortable stair case from the big room. This room, in the extension of the kitchen, can also be detached with an extra room at the far end of the room.

If you choose to build an open passage, you reach it from both parts of the house through the glass doors. When they are opened up, a feeling where outdoors and indoors grow together. When the sliding doors are pulled across, the house is locked up. The passage is also a natural catwalk straight through the house where additional foot-bridges cab be attached in both directions. Along both sides of the house there are big sliding doors that cover windows and passage.
