The Swedish designer Mats Theselius has together with Arvesund created the Hermit’s Cabin. A house intended for one person, build for all times of the year and possible to place anywhere.
Up to 15m². That’s the Swedish measurement of the extra house you put where no building permit is required. Three models are available prepared for use all the year around.
All around in Mid-Norrland you can find them as a monument of times long past. In these houses Arvesund does not recycles the wood, but the shape and expression for our range of holiday houses. The idea is obvious: the buildings resemble barns.
In our ambition to reuse the timber from dilapidated barns, our designers have combined the history of the material with a clean, simple and functional design.
There is much to derive in the interpretation of the landscape. Arvesund and our network of designers and architects are involved in the development of new exiting projects around the world.
